Recent TIDAL Music Reviews
I love the selection & that they pay artists better than other streaming apps. Hopefully they’re able to work things out & reinstate some music they had that’s no longer available! For the Roku version of the app; It would be nice to see the playlists on a grid rather than have to scroll across a long line. Don’t think there’s a better music streaming service out there!!
“There was a connection problem” way too many times. The app would otherwise be great but it’s incredibly annoying to start a playlist, maybe make it to the second or third track to suddenly stop listening because the app could not connect or something. I have two ISPs, my internet connection works perfectly with Spotify, but it even happens while I’m on cellular data. And I do see that this is not a new issue, it’s been there for ages. Please fix this!!
I switched from another service because Tidal has better sound quality and they compensate artists more than other streaming apps. It was easy to transfer my favorite playlists. I was unable to play downloaded songs in offline mode so I deleted the downloaded content & download it again. It worked. I was able to listen to downloads in offline mode. Unfortunately I had to go through the same process again when downloaded songs wouldn’t play. This is an issue that I hope Tidal will fix.
Can’t login anymore. Used to be pretty good but somehow got really bad recently. It randomly starts downloading things I’ve already downloaded for some reason, taking up more space on my phone than necessary. Today it was downloading hundreds of random songs without me having a choice. I had to delete the app entirely as there is no option to stop the downloads or empty the queue. Also, every time I switch to a new album, I have to press the “repeat” button again as opposed to it staying on.
I’m pleasantly surprised with this app. My only major complaint is that listening to my downloaded playlists doesn’t work without a network connection, which completely defeats the purpose of downloading them in the first place. If that gets fixed, it’s an easy 5. Especially if the library continues to grow. Seriously impressive collection. Doubt I’ll ever go back to Spotify. Especially with the bigger artist cut. Nicely done. edit:support got at me quick! Problem solved(embarrassingly easily)
The app works great and syncs with the Tidal in my Tesla. The sound quality is awesome and the user experience is pretty well put together. As for future upgrades, I’d like to have a playlist that my friends and I could edit together, rather than having to share it back and forth each time we update it. Overall, very impressive and I love that Tidal gives more back to the artists and music community.
This is, without a doubt, the best music streaming service around. The sound quality and the UI are vastly superior to Spotify. The algorithms are wonderful, helping me to find new music easily. The lyrics integration is probably the best around, right up there with Apple Music. Although it could certainly use much better social features and ability to access user playlists, these holdouts don’t stop it from being an incredible service.
I was in love with Tidal Free for awhile. Yeah it had ads but you can’t beat how awesome their daily discovery Playlist is. By far and away beats an similar things by the competition. But with the latest updates the ads are now playing in the middle of the songs… Which is so insanely absurd. I get ads are necessary, but why would you ever interrupt a beautiful song in the middle of it for an ad? It’s just plain nuts. I hoped this was an error, but 2 updates later it has only gotten worse.
Why is it so hard to have it shuffle the entire playlist/album. It’s annoying hearing the same songs when pressing shuffle. I’m annoyed that I have to scroll down to listen to something else when the UI should do it automatically. Another issue is that there’s random music saved to you tracks like a virus. From low quality artists and it slows down the ui. Finally there’s a problem when downloading music, some of the tracks say it’s unavailable for streaming when it obviously is.
Top tier streaming app. Best of the best! Everything it advertise it does. Would think it’ll be pretty cool if they had like a feature so you can listen to the samples of your favorite current songs. The New age music is always borrowing from the past, should be nice to be able to hear what the original track was. Oh and when y’all add that feature I’ll take a percentage 😂
